‘The Rock’ Announces Return to WWE’s WrestleMania

Wrestlemania will welcome back Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.

On Monday, Johnson announced on his Instagram page that he would compete at WrestleMania in Dallas, Texas, in April 2016.

The Central Intelligence star, 43, captioned a flashback footage of himself in the ring, “IT’S OFFICIAL. People’s Champ is coming home to do 3 things with THE PEOPLE: Set an ALL-TIME attendance record, ELECTRIFY Dallas like never before & make all time #WRESTLEMANIA history. And we have FUN. Ok that’s four things but you know what the hell The Rock’s saying.”

“THANK YOU #WWEUniverse! It’s always an honor coming home and I wouldn’t miss it for the world. #PeoplesChamp4L #MakingElectrifyingHistory #SmackethLaidDownOnThyCandyAsses (sic).” the “San Andreas,” star went on to say.

During his wrestling career, the 43-year-old professional wrestler turned actor won many WWE Championships and was dubbed “The Most Electrifying Man in All of Entertainment.”

On its official website, the WWE also confirmed the announcement, saying: “The Most Electrifying Man in Entertainment will now perform on the Grandest Stage of Them All.

“The Rock will be in Dallas for WrestleMania when The Showcase of the Immortals takes over AT&T Stadium.”

Following competing in the WWE from 1996 to 2004, and again part-time from 2011 to 2013, the father of two departed from the company after WrestleMania 29 in 2013. He made a cameo at WrestleMania 31 earlier this year, however he did not participate in the match.

Wrestlemania 32, the WWE’s largest event of the year, will take place in AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas on Sunday, April 3, 2016.

Dwayne has stayed faithful to the WWE despite a lucrative film career that includes roles in films such as ‘San Andreas’ and the ‘Fast and Furious’ trilogy.

He said previously: “I’m proud of where I come from, and I’m proud of the wrestling world. I cherish the fans even more, and they’ve always been there for me. And I don’t want to abandon it completely.”

Meanwhile, the Fast Five actor is preoccupied with his new baby daughter, Jasmine. On December 16, the actor and his longtime girlfriend Lauren Hashian had their first child together.

“Christmas came early this year!” a lovely Instagram photo of the shirtless action hero cuddling his baby of joy was captioned by the WWE star.

“Within minutes of being born she was laying on daddy’s chest. And being a grateful man takes on a whole new meaning. Kinda crazy but in this cool and powerful skin to skin bonding moment with my newborn baby Jasmine, I had just one wish I asked the universe … Give me the strength to be a better man today than I was yesterday.”
